Why do we collect personal data?
We are aware of how important it is for you to have your personal data handled with care. Any data processing is only carried out for specific purposes. These may arise, for example, for technical reasons, or in relation to contractual requirements, legal regulations, a predominant interest, i.e. for legitimate reasons, or your express consent. We collect, store and process personal data insofar as this is necessary, for example for the management of the customer relationship, the provision of our services and products, the processing of orders and contracts, sales and invoicing, answering questions and queries, providing information about our products and services and their marketing, support in technical matters and the evaluation and further development of services and products.
What data is collected when services are purchased?
For contractual reasons, we require personal data for online orders or the purchase of certain services and products in order to provide our services and implement the contractual relationships concluded in relation thereto. For example, when ordering room service services.
When you purchase services – depending on the product or service – we collect the following data, inter alia:
- name, e-mail address of the person making the purchase
- additional information such as room number, date of birth, mobile no.
- type of product or service purchased
- purchase and delivery date, associated period of validity
- price
What data is processed in connection with marketing?
If the processing serves a legitimate interest or if you have consented, we use your customer data (e.g. name, e-mail address), information about services purchased and your click behaviour on our websites or in e-mails for marketing purposes.
We evaluate this data in order to send you or display information and offers that are as relevant as possible (by e-mail, letter, SMS and, if applicable, personalised teasers). We only use data that we can clearly assign to you, e.g. because you have ordered a service via our websites.
When receiving information and offers for marketing purposes, you have the option to revoke your consent, e.g. to unsubscribe from further e-mails. For example, every e- mail contains an unsubscribe link that you can use to unsubscribe from further messages with one click.
What data is processed when using our internet pages?
In principle, you can visit our internet pages without having to provide any personal information. When you visit our website, our servers temporarily save each access in a log file. The following technical data is recorded and stored by us until automatic deletion after seven months at the latest:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- date and time of access
- internet page from which the access was made, if applicable with the search word used.
- name and URL of the file retrieved
- searches carried out (general search function on website, products, etc.)
- operating system of your computer (provided by the user agent)
- browser used (provided by the user agent)
- device type in case of access from mobile phones
- transmission protocol used
The collection and processing of this data is used for system security and stability and for error and performance analysis as well as for internal statistical purposes and enables us to optimise our internet services.
The IP address is also used to set the default language of the website. In addition, it is evaluated together with other data in the event of attacks on network infrastructure or other unauthorised use or misuse of the website for the purpose of clarification and defence and, if necessary, used within the framework of criminal proceedings for identification and for civil and criminal proceedings against the users concerned.
Finally, we use cookies and applications and tools based on the use of cookies when you visit our website. You can find more details in this respect below in this data protection declaration.
For external websites to which there is a link from our website, no guarantee is given for compliance with data protection regulations.
What are cookies and when are they used?
In addition to the aforementioned data, we employ technical tools for various purposes when you use our website, in particular cookies. Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit or use one of our internet pages. Cookies store certain settings and data about your interaction with the website via your browser. When a cookie is activated, it may be assigned an identification number identifying your browser and allowing the information contained in the cookie to be used. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer, but primarily serve to make our internet services faster and more user-friendly.
The technical structure of the website requires us to use methods, in particular ‘strictly necessary cookies’. Without these cookies, our website cannot be displayed (properly) or support functions cannot be enabled. These are basically session cookies. You cannot deselect these cookies if you wish to use our website. The legal basis for this type of processing is art. 6, para. 1, p. 1, letter f GDPR. These strictly necessary cookies are deleted once your visit to our website has ended, at the latest when you close your browser, if you have set your browser to do so.
In addition, there will be the possibility in the future of using various other (optional) cookies on our website. In this case, these optional cookies will only be used after obtaining your consent, which you can provide during your first visit to our website via the so-called cookie consent tool by actively agreeing (‘opting in’). The functions will only be activated if you provide your consent and may serve in particular to enable us to analyse and improve your visits to our website, to make it easier for you to use our website via different browsers or end devices, to recognise you when you visit us again or to display advertising (possibly also to tailor advertising to interests, measure the effectiveness of advertisements or show interest-oriented advertising). Refusal of consent may mean that certain services cannot be (properly) used. The legal basis of this processing is art. 6, para. 1, p. 1, letter a GDPR. The revocation of your consent is possible at any time without affecting the permissibility of the processing until the revocation.
When you access our website and at any time later, you have the choice of whether to generally allow the use of cookies or which individual additional functions you would like to select. You can make changes by adjusting your browser settings (block cookies) or via our Consent Manager.
Display of advertising
The display of any advertising is not personalised under any circumstances. This means that all users see the same advertising information.
Contact form
You have the option of using a contact form to get in touch with us. In doing so, the input of certain personal data is mandatory (marked in the respective form):
We use only use this and other data voluntarily provided (such as title, address, telephone number, etc.) to enable us to respond to your contact request in the best possible manner and to personalise our reply. Any voluntary information about how you became aware of our offer will also be used for internal statistical purposes.
How long will your data be kept?
Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected (e.g. within the framework of a contractual relationship). Deletion is replaced by blocking if there are legal or factual obstacles to deletion (e.g. statutory retention obligations).
What rights do you have with regard to your personal data?
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- right to information about the personal data stored by us
- right to rectification or deletion of your personal data
- right to restriction of processing
- right to object to processing
- right to data portability.
To exercise your rights, simply send a letter by post to:
hotelplus solutions GmbH
Data Protection Officer
Rheinstrasse 81
CH – 4133 Pratteln
or by e-mail to: [email protected]
In addition, you have the following rights:
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you may revoke this consent at any time. This revocation affects the permissibility of the processing of your personal data after you have revoked your consent. The permissibility of the processing of your data up to the moment of your revocation remains unaffected.
Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on a balance of interests, you can object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary, in particular, for the performance of a contract with you, which is pointed out by us in each case in the description of the functions above. When exercising such an objection, we will ask you to explain the reasons why you want us to refrain from processing your personal data in the way we have done. If you object to processing, we will review the situation and either cease or adapt the data processing or invoke compelling legitimate grounds for continuing to process your personal data.
You can of course object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of advertising and data analysis at any time. The best way to exercise your objection to processing for advertising purposes is to contact us using the contact details provided above.
Will your data be passed on to third parties?
In principle, your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract or you have expressly consented to this.
Will your personal data be transferred abroad?
In principle, your personal data will not be transferred abroad.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data stored with us against manipulation, partial or complete loss and against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
We also take internal data protection very seriously. Our employees have committed themselves to confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. However, the transmission of information via the Internet and other electronic means always involves certain security risks and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted in this way.
Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend and supplement this declaration at any time and at our own discretion. The version of this privacy policy in force at the moment your data is collected is authoritative.
